Testing our homemade laundry soap on grass stains

Here are a couple pics of some grass stained pants. I pretreated the stains with a bar of Fels-Naptha, then threw them in a regular cycle with cold water. See what you think.

really behind

Well, we have made some videos, we just haven't got them up yet. We have been a bit busy with school starting and birthday parties for our boys. We will be trying to get our blog up to date and where we want it so you can start to see our vision, lol. I should have waited to post my link all over the place until I knew what the heck I was doing, lol!! I guess this will be a live and learn experience. I really always do tend to get ahead of myself. See you soon!

Awesome cold remedies

It's that time of the year! I have a husband and 2 little boys home sick with a nasty cold today. I have a couple of at home remedies that we use that work to sooth sore throats, stuffy nose, and that overall icky feeling.
    wellness tea
take a couple of thick slices of ginger root and boil in water in your tea kettle. Add fresh lemon juice and honey to your liking to the botom of your mug. Pour in boiled ater and stir. Add your favorite calming tea(I like chamomille) and steep. Sip and enjoy. Drink this every 3 to 4 hours or every hour for really bad colds.

homemade cold/cough syrup
Take a small jar and fill 3/4 with honey. Grate fresh ginger and garlic into the honey. Add fresh lemon juice as much as you can handle, it does get tart, and stir together. The ginger and garlic will clear a stuffy nose in no time. The hony and lemon will sooth a sore throat. Honey has natural healing properties for overall health. You can use as much garlic and ginger as you like, but, the more you can tolerate, the better this will work for you.
Store in fridge. Take a spoonfull every few hours, more often if need be. Kids LOVE this one. It's much better than trying to get them to swallow icky cough medicine, and it is all natural, so no negative side effects or unwanted chemicals and drugs.
